Capacity Building Seminar on Transnational Education Services

The Capacity Building Seminar on Transnational Education Services was held 24-28 September, 2008 in Manila, the Philippines. Member APEC economies participating in the seminar included Australia, Brunei Darussalam, China, Malaysia, Mexico, Peru, the Philippines, the Russian Federation, Chinese Taipei, Thailand, and the United States. Representatives that attended included officials from government agencies, educational groups, and professional organizations. The program included papers and briefings that focused on the impact of transnational educational services, a topic that is being addressed by the APEC Education Network. The result of the seminar was the Draft Manila Statement. This and other resources from the forum can be found below.
